Twilight and death of a planet

For the first time, a planet orbiting a red giant and at the end of its life, is detected. The work is led by Jorge Lillo and David Barrado (Center of Astrobiology, CSIC-INTA) and it has been produced by a multidisciplinary team, from different institutions. The red giant KOI-2133 has very close planet (Kepler-91 b), which eventually will be engulfed by the host star.
